Project Summary
Named after the “Father of the Iditarod Sled Dog Race”, Joe Redington Elementary was built to answer to the ever growing needs of the City of Wasilla, AK. Rain Screen cladding principles were used to handle the harsh conditions of Alaska weather. Over VaproShield’s high UV resistant Black RevealShield air barrier, the architect used imaginative colors in the Fiberesin Stonewood panels to create a cheerful pallet suited for an elementary school. The bright colors and high performance design of the cladding system will surely bring smiles to students and maintenance folks alike for years to come.
