Design intent was to provide a cladding system that would provide an open joint rain screen ventilated system that would meet the climatic needs in Northern Alaska. The buildings design weighed heavily on beautiful radius walls blended with a natural tundra landscape. To that end, both panel systems had to present a warm natural feel, be able to install in radius fashion and bring long-term performance to the owner. VaproShield WallShield barrier in black was used behind all panels for waterproofing, providing a breathable barrier to prevent moisture build up in the wall systems in addition to providing the black color in the panel reveal joints.
